The service manager, Rob Picco, is very well versed in everything to do with trucks and cars. The communication from them was outstanding and the pictures and details they provided me through the whole process was GREAT ! They even gave me a schedule of other services my vehicle may need down the road with reasonable pricing. I wouldn't bother shopping around for another place to get your vehicle serviced... I know I found my place of choice !
I had a great experience here. I was buying a used car and took it to Shovel Town for a pre-purchase inspection. It was done quickly but thoroughly for a fair price. Everyone I interacted with was nice and professional. They sent the results of the inspection directly to my phone which was convenient, as well as print out the results with photos included. They gave me peace of mind that I was buying a good car and I would definitely use them again.

I can’t say enough great things about ShovelTown Auto Services and their manager, Rob Picco. After my car died, I had it towed to the closest shop Midas in Bridgewater. After receiving a shocking quote on what they said my car needed, I decided to look elsewhere. I stumbled upon ShovelTown Auto after reading reviews, and honestly, I was mad I didn’t come here first.
The honesty, professionalism, and customer service here are unmatched. Rob was straightforward, explained everything clearly, and made me feel confident that my car was in the right hands, and the repair ended up being $1,000 LESS than what Midas quoted me. It’s rare to find an auto shop that truly puts the customer first, but ShovelTown absolutely does.
If you’re looking for fair pricing, trustworthy service, and people who genuinely care, this is the place to go. I’m so grateful I found them and will definitely be returning for any future repairs. Highly recommend!

It’s incredibly rare these days to find an auto shop that is honest, fair, and provides outstanding customer service, but this team truly exceeded my expectations. I brought both of my cars here after finding them on Google, and I feel so fortunate that I did.
From the start, they were proactive with communication and very current with technology. I especially appreciated the detailed inspection report they provide — it’s clear, transparent, and shows pictures of everything they call out. I had such a good experience at Shovel Town Auto Service. They replaced and fixed my tire quickly and did an awesome job. Tony was especially great, super friendly, attentive, and really made me feel taken care of. The rest of the staff were just as welcoming and helpful, the staff that changed my tire was quick, I should have asked for his name to add him to this review.
Overall, it was a really smooth and positive visit. I’d definitely go back and recommend them to anyone who needs reliable, honest, and friendly service.

Came in to assess the cost and feasibility of auto repairs. They gave me a loaner which was also a life and money saver. They then did a pre-purchase inspection. They were thorough, professional, and kind. I would 100% recommend them for their treatment of customers, knowledge, and fair and reasonable costs. They will be my service provider for my new vehicle without a doubt.
They fixed what the dealership couldn’t or wouldn’t fix on my car. They did a complete evaluation of my 2012 Mazda and fixed the problems with brakes. I was kept apprised of the work status and notified of the completion of work. I will be going back in the future as need arises. Good job Shovel Town and thank you.

As someone who knows nothing about cars, he walked me through every step of the process and explained in great detail the repairs that were needed for my car. Repairs were done quick and well. They even stayed late for me to pick up my car! Highly recommend!!!

Super straightforward and quick with service. I had my emergency break disintegrate and they’re able to put me in a loaner car and get me back in my car within two days. Fair pricing and great customer service! I’ll be back for any of my repairs or maintenance needs as well as that loaner car!
Basically had to have my transmission replaced the day before my vacation. The shop worked late to have it ready the next morning! Totally thrilled with the service and quality! Vehicle was ready the following morning and we drove to NH! Highly recommend Shovel Town Auto!
Called shovel town cause I had no mechanic that I can trust. Spoke with Rob very pleasant. Individual knowledgeable took my 2020 Rebel in. They gave me a loaner came back with results of what needed to be repaired with some additional maintenance work that I could've used, but they weren't forcing me to do anything I didn't want and needed left my truck to be fixed Now. Everything's fantastic. Great service. Great job will be taking my vehicles there from now on.
Had a great experience here. Was visiting the in-laws and our car needed a quick oil change. Booked online in a few minutes, showed up at the scheduled time and was out of there in under an hour. Rob had great customer service as well! Will go here again.
I just wanted to take a moment to share what a great experience I had at this auto shop. From the second I walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. It’s not every day you feel that taken care of in an auto shop, especially as a woman.

Shovel Town Auto Service is outstanding! Their customer service is truly spectacular—especially Rob, who went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Shoveltown did a great job repairing the suspension on my 2014 Ford Flex. Excellent service and fair pricing. Cannot ask for better.
Rob (manager) always promptly answered all of my questions and his technicians came to the same conclusions regarding repairs as a different shop. My 2007 Ford F150 needed a new control arm, an alignment, some electric work, and new brakes. They turned it around in about 2.5 business days. They were prompt, had accurate timelines and pricing estimates, and were always clear about what they recommend addressing (urgent) vs. what's optional. They never made me feel like they don't have time for my questions/concerns. They even provided a recommendation for a body shop that could address some frame rot.

The saga of the Range Rover continues. This time a leak in the interior compartment. The folks at shoveltown were able to trace the leak to a rotted connection in the sunroof drain line. They fixed the issue and fabricated a new part solving the leak. They took the extra step of treating the interior with an anti fungal spray after drying out the carpet. No more water and no mildew smell. All is back to normal. Thanks again Shoveltown, you keep hitting the mark.

Brought my wifes car down with a problem with the window working. Rob was great coming out to see if there was something he could do. When we realized it needed ti be worked on he immediatley looked up the price of parts a labor and worked with me. The car was done promptly and we are very happy with everything. During their inspection of the car they found a few other things that need attention and we will definitely be going back to them to get these fixed.
We traveled 1 hour to look at a vehicle in the Easton area to possibly purchase. We had Shoveltown Auto Service do an inspection on this vehicle. They gave us a detail digital and printed report of the pros and cons. As a result we did not end up purchasing the vehicle. I can’t say enough about Rob, the manager, who provided us with great customer service. He was so nice, friendly and professional. The mechanic, John, was very knowledgable and he spent time explaining the results to us. We appreciate and we thank Shoveltown Auto Service for providing such great service all around. 🙂
Rob is a positive and honest guy. I had a first time appt for an oil change this morning. It was completed in a timely manner and the team’s communication was strong. $83.50 for labor, synthetic oil, and engine oil filter. Exactly what I anticipated.
I was pleasantly surprised to see paperwork for deferred services and estimates - To me it says “here’s some other work to consider for the future, but we will never perform additional services without your expressed consent.” Always a fishing expedition with deferred service reports like these but that’s just the business. It’s okay.
Overall - attentive, great, kind, and honest people

Total invoice was shy of $85 for both synthetic oil and filter. One of the best prices in the area.
Rob’s tone was very pleasant. Sounded like a chill guy who loves his job and is truly proud of his work.
Overall, I am proud to be a new client and look forward to my next service with Shovel Town Auto.

Only issue is the guy at the counter is a lil rough around the edges, get him to smile and u shud play the lotto that night. Luckily John and other mechanics make it worth the trip.
The first time I brought my car here, I called on a Wednesday night with an urgent need, and was able to drop my vehicle off first thing Thursday morning. By 9:30 I knew what the problem was and the cost, as well as another issue that was discovered while inspecting the car. All repairs were complete by 3 the same day. Excellent customer service and communication!
I cannot recommend this place enough! John is the man. Dealer quoted me $4700 to fix a head gasket. I brought it here for a 2nd opinion and John said it does not need a head gasket, it only needed spark plugs. My car is running great. Thanks O'Brien Car Care! Great to have found such a trustworthy place to bring my car.
O'Brien car care is my go to repair shop. Way cheaper than the dealership and they were very upfront about pricing. I've had wheel bearings, breaks, and oil changes there. Never disappointed.
